About the College of Medicine at Nineveh

The Nineveh College of Medicine (NCoM) was established by a presidential decree in 2001 as the second medical college among the 22 colleges affiliated with the University of Mosul (UoM). Its establishment was in response to the growing need for qualified doctors in the governorate due to urban expansion, population growth in the city and its suburbs, and the increasing demand for medical services.

Following the official announcement of the establishment of Nineveh University (NU) in February 2014, the Nineveh College of Medicine and the College of Electronic Engineering were transferred from the University of Mosul to become affiliated with Nineveh University. Thus, the newly established university now includes two prestigious and well-equipped colleges.

Infrastructure and Facilities

The college covers an area exceeding 10,000 square meters, including 8 modern laboratories, 4 lecture halls, over 70 rooms for academic staff, a conference center, and a medical consultation office. Practical steps to implement problem-based learning began in 2018, and we continue to build and develop for the sake of our dear students.

Education and Academic Development

The college adopts a traditional teaching model that includes three years of basic sciences followed by three years of clinical training. By 2014, the number of graduates exceeded 300 doctors, most of whom work in the Ministry of Health, with some pursuing postgraduate studies or training to become future academic staff members.

Beginning and Establishment

The Nineveh College of Medicine began its activities in 2002 within the Mosul College of Medicine with limited space. In 2004, the departments of Biochemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology were established, followed by the departments of Medicine and Surgery in 2006. Education started with 75 students and increased to 120 by 2014, adopting traditional medical curricula.

We aim for the Nineveh College of Medicine at Nineveh University to be among the globally leading colleges in medical education by offering distinguished academic programs, adopting the highest standards of academic quality, and providing an innovative educational environment that combines theoretical knowledge with advanced practical training.

At the Nineveh College of Medicine, we strive to graduate doctors with solid scientific competence, advanced clinical skills, and high professional ethics. We prepare them to effectively diagnose and treat common diseases in their community and contribute to improving the healthcare system through purposeful medical research that addresses local health challenges and enhances public health.

The College of Medicine was established to be a beacon of knowledge in Nineveh Governorate, supplying Iraqi society with competent doctors equipped with knowledge and expertise, qualified to provide distinguished healthcare based on professional and humanitarian ethics, and built on a foundation of sound scientific thinking and continuous research.

Organizational Structure

تعنى شعبة ضمان الجودة بمتابعة وتطوير جودة الأداء الأكاديمي والإداري في الكلية، وتعزيز تطبيق معايير الجودة والاعتماد الأكاديمي، وفق متطلبات الاعتماد الوطني ومعايير وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، من خلال الوحدات التخصصية التابعة لها، وهي:

تتولى شعبة الدراسات العليا مسؤولية إعداد خطة الاحتياجات السنوية للقبول في الدراسات العليا، بما يتماشى بدقة مع الضوابط والتعليمات الوزارية النافذة.
وحدة البورد العراقي لاختصاص الاشعة التشخيصية
تُعد وحدة البورد إحدى الوحدات الحيوية التابعة إدارياً إلى شعبة الدراسات العليا في الكلية. وقد استحدثت الوحدة بتاريخ 23 تشرين الثاني 2025 لتتولى المسؤولية التنظيمية والإدارية المباشرة عن متابعة شؤون الأطباء الدارسين لنيل شهادة البورد العراقي .

شعبة المتابعة والتصاريح الامنية وهيا مسوؤلة عن حفظ النظام بين الطلبة ودخول العجلات الى الحرم الجامعي وايضا التصاريح الامنية لكافي منتسبي الكلية

شعبة القانونية وهيا الشعبة المسؤولة عن كافة الامور القانونية والتعهدات والكفالاات الخاصة بالطلبة والموظفين

تُعد وحدة التعليم المستمر إحدى الوحدات الداعمة للعملية التعليمية والتطوير الأكاديمي في الكلية، وتعمل على إعداد ومتابعة الخطة السنوية للبرامج والأنشطة العلمية والتدريبية، والإشراف على تنفيذها وتوثيقها وتقييم مخرجاتها.

وتسهم الوحدة في تنظيم الدورات التدريبية والورش والندوات والمحاضرات والمؤتمرات والفعاليات العلمية، بهدف تنمية مهارات الكوادر التدريسية والوظيفية والطلبة، ومواكبة المستجدات العلمية والتقنية، وتعزيز تبادل الخبرات والمعارف، بما يدعم جودة الأداء ويحقق أهداف الكلية وخدمة المجتمع.

وحدة التعليم الطبي وهيا مسؤولة عن كافة الانشطة الطبية والفعاليات والتواصل مع الموسسات الصحية

وحدة الارشاد النفسي الجامعي

وحدة الاشاد النفسي والتربوي وتعتبر هذه الوحدة من اهم الركائز وحلقة التواصل بين الطلبة والاساتذة لحل كافة المشاكل التي قد تواجه الطلبة خىل المسيرة الدراسية

وحدة البعثات والعلاقات

تعمل الوحدة على تعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي والعلمي من خلال تنظيم الاتفاقيات والشراكات مع المؤسسات التعليمية والبحثية محليًا ودوليًا، والتنسيق مع مؤسسات الدولة، إلى جانب متابعة برامج الابتعاث والزمالات الدراسية

وحدة التاهيل والتوظيف تعتبر من الوحدات التي تححد المسار العملي للطالب والخريج وايجاد فرص العمل التي تلائم التي تخخص الخريج

وحدة شؤون المواطنين

وحدة شؤون المواطنين تعتبر من اهم الوحدات والتي تعد حلقة الوصل بين جميع المواطنبن والمسؤول حيث تنظم لقاءت اسبوعية لطرح المشاكل وحلها

وحدة المجلة

وحدة المجلة التي يتم العمل على اكمال تاسيسها لتظاهي المجلات العالمية من حيث الرصانة وتفتح ابواب النشر للباحثين في مختلف المجالات العلمية

وحدة الاعتمادية

وحدة الاعتمادية وهيا الوحدة التي تعمل على اكمال المتطلبات في حصول الكلية على الاعتماد الدولي وقد ساهمت في ذلك بحصول كلية الطب جامعة نينوى على الاعتماد الدولي

وحدة الطلبة العرب والأجانب

تُعنى وحدة الطلبة العرب والأجانب في كلية الطب بمتابعة شؤون الطلبة الدوليين، وتقديم الدعم والتسهيلات اللازمة لهم خلال مراحل التقديم والقبول والتسجيل والمباشرة بالدراسة، بالتنسيق مع الجهات ذات العلاقة في جامعة نينوى. كما تعمل الوحدة على متابعة احتياجات الطلبة وتذليل العقبات التي قد تواجههم، وتعزيز اندماجهم في البيئة الأكاديمية والثقافية للكلية والجامعة.

طريقة التقديم:
يتم التقديم للطلبة العرب والأجانب الراغبين بالدراسة في كلية الطب من خلال المنصة الرسمية لبرنامج «ادرس في العراق» التابع لوزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، وفق الضوابط والتعليمات المعتمدة للعام الدراسي.

وحدة صندوق التعليم العالي في كلية الطب

تُعد وحدة صندوق التعليم العالي في كلية الطب من الوحدات المالية والإدارية المهمة، إذ تضطلع بدورٍ أساسي في تنظيم وإدارة الإيرادات المالية ومتابعة إجراءات الاستلام والصرف والتسويات، وفق التعليمات والضوابط النافذة.

كما تقدم الوحدة خدماتها المالية للطلبة والمنتسبين، وتتابع إنجاز المعاملات والأجور والرسوم وتوثيقها بدقة وانسيابية، بالتنسيق مع الجهات ذات العلاقة.

وتسعى الوحدة إلى ترسيخ مبادئ الشفافية والانضباط المالي وجودة الأداء، بما يسهم في دعم المسيرة العلمية والإدارية لكلية الطب، ويعكس حرصها على مواكبة التطور المؤسسي خلال مسيرتها

وحدة حقوق الانسان

وحدة حقوق الإنسان

تعمل الوحدة على تعزيز ثقافة حقوق الإنسان وترسيخ مبادئها في البيئة الجامعية، من خلال نشر الوعي بالحقوق والواجبات، وتنظيم الندوات والمحاضرات وورش العمل والأنشطة التوعوية ذات الصلة، فضلًا عن متابعة القضايا والبرامج المرتبطة بحقوق الإنسان، والمساهمة في توفير بيئة جامعية قائمة على الاحترام والمساواة والعدالة، وبما ينسجم مع التشريعات الوطنية والمعايير الدولية لحقوق الإنسان.

وحدة العقود الحكومية

تعد وحدة العقود الحكومية إحدى الوحدات الإدارية المهمة وتُعنى بتنظيم وإدارة جميع العقود الحكومية الخاصة بالكلية، وفق القوانين والتعليمات النافذة الصادرة عن وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي والجهات الرقابية المختصة.
تتولى الوحدة متابعة إجراءات التعاقد الخاصة بالأشغال والخدمات والتجهيزات، من مرحلة الإعلان والتحليل الفني والمالي، إلى توقيع العقد ومتابعة تنفيذه وضمان الالتزام ببنوده القانونية والإدارية. الخاصة بتسجيل الطلبة والعقود الحكومية
