A scientific achievement added to the records of the College of Medicine

An international research team, including one of our college lecturers, Mr. (M.M. Saif Al-Din Amer Ahmed), has been able to add a new achievement to the treasure trove of the College of Medicine - University of Nineveh, by publishing a scientific study that included exposing four cell lines (brain cancer, breast cancer, esophageal cancer, and normal cells for comparison) to a zero-gravity environment. The results showed that DNA damage occurred in all cancer cells as a result of their exposure to zero-gravity conditions compared to normal cells.
These results pave the way for treating most types of cancer, as the results showed that zero gravity affects both cell vitality and growth behavior, in addition to affecting the genetic level as well.

Note that the study was published in the international journal
Microgravity Science and Technology
A subsidiary of Springer Nature, it is included in the containers.
