As part of the University Psychological Counseling Unit’s leading role in promoting awareness and social responsibility among students, a workshop titled “Illegal Migration: Between Psychological Risks, Social Challenges, and Sharia and Legal Regulations” on Tuesday, March 31. The workshop addressed multiple topics, including the psychological and social aspects presented by Dr. Jinan Saeed Al-Rahou from the University Psychological Counseling Unit, who explained the psychological effects and family repercussions, the religious aspect, presented by Dr. Taima Al-Najafi from the Sunni Endowment Directorate/Women’s Guidance, who outlined religious regulations, and the legal aspect, presented by Dr. Jassim Khudair from the College of Law, who reviewed legal frameworks and penalties. The workshop saw significant attendance and engagement from students, reflecting their interest in the issue, while the unit affirms its commitment to continuing to organize awareness-raising activities that contribute to protecting students and empowering them to make responsible decisions toward a safer future.
