Within the framework of the directives of the President of the University of Nineveh, Professor Dr. Osama Al-MashhadaniAs part of the College of Medicine’s efforts to promote the spirit of excellence and distinction among its students, the College’s Deanship honored a group of second-year students who played an effective and distinguished role in Academic accreditation awareness campaigns.
The honoring ceremony was attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Moamen Junaid Al-Dubuniand the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ali Abbasand the doctor Rasha Nadeem Ahmed, where it was presented Certificates of appreciation To outstanding students in recognition of their exceptional efforts and active participation in spreading the culture of accreditation and quality within the academic community.
In a speech on the occasion, the Dean expressed his great pride in the commitment and initiative shown by these students, stressing that the students are... He added that the college is moving confidently towards achieving accreditation through a set of well-thought-out programmes and initiatives, noting that Student participation in these campaigns It is not just a volunteer activity, but rather a demonstration of their academic maturity and high sense of responsibility towards their university.

Nineveh Medical Talents
Nour Azzam Al-Obaidi, a first-year student at the College of Medicine at the University of Nineveh, loves drawing and is proficient at it using a variety of tools, from charcoal and pencil to an iPad, giving her work a distinct artistic flair.




Salwa Mohamed Ibrahim, a creative student in the College of Medicine, loves drawing and expresses her creativity through distinctive paintings. Her most recent work was a drawing of the College of Medicine building, showcasing the precision of detail and the beauty of the building's architectural design, reflecting her passion for art and her unique vision for the places that matter to her.




Mina Mohamed, a second-year student, has a strong passion for art. She excels at colorful drawing, expressing her creativity and ideas in a unique way. She is keen to develop her artistic skills and is always striving to discover new methods of coloring and creativity.






Hajar Zakaria, a second-year student at the College of Medicine at the University of Nineveh, has a passion for art, specifically drawing, through which she expresses her thoughts and creativity. She strives to balance her medical studies with her artistic hobby, reflecting her multifaceted personality.










Under the patronage of the President of the University of Nineveh, Professor Dr. Osama Al-MashhadaniUnder the supervision and attendance of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Moamen Junaid Al-DubuniAnd the members of the College Council, and as part of the efforts of the College Deanship to support and care for the students of the internal departments, a group Iftar banquet and a distinguished Ramadan evening were held on Tuesday, corresponding to March 11, 2024.
This event targeted boarding students from various governorates, as well as from the districts and sub-districts of Nineveh Governorate. The atmosphere was family-like, with warmth and camaraderie between faculty and students, reflecting a sense of belonging and mutual respect on campus. The initiative emphasized the importance of human connection and moral support, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
The evening featured cultural and religious activities and friendly conversations. Students were also given the opportunity to express their opinions and needs, reinforcing the college's approach to listening to students and working to create an integrated and safe learning and living environment.
At the conclusion of the event, the Dean of the College of Medicine emphasized that caring for and attending to students, especially during religious and social occasions, is a priority for the college, and that these initiatives represent an extension of the university's mission to build scientifically and morally aware generations. The students also expressed their deep gratitude for this generous initiative, wishing the College of Medicine and the University of Nineveh further progress and prosperity in their academic and humanitarian endeavors.
The College of Medicine organizes an open chess tournament under the auspices of the College Deanship.
Today, the College of Medicine hosted an open chess tournament, held under the generous sponsorship of the college's deanship. The Student Activities Division organized the tournament in cooperation with the university's Student Activities Department, which appointed the tournament's judges. College students and staff participated in the event, competing in a spirit of sportsmanship.
The tournament witnessed remarkable performances from the participants, with Hussein Abdel Fattah (second stage) winning first place in the student category, while Ibrahim Qasim Mahmoud, an employee in the Follow-up Department, achieved first place in the employee category.
At the conclusion of the tournament, the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Shaker Mahmoud, presented letters of thanks and appreciation to the Student Activities Department staff and the referees' team, in recognition of their efforts in organizing and judging the tournament. Gifts were also distributed to the winners and participants in celebration of the spirit of competition and achievement.
The Dean of the College of Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Moamen Junaid Al-Dabouni, expressed his happiness with the success of this event, emphasizing the importance of supporting student activities and extracurricular events that contribute to developing the skills of students and staff and fostering team spirit and cooperation within the college.








Students of the College of Medicine at the University of Nineveh on a scientific visit to Al-Hayat International Hospital
Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Nineveh, Assistant Professor Dr. Moamen Junaid Al-Dabouni, a constant supporter of openness to healthcare institutions and enhancing the practical side of students, professors from the Physiology Department, under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Qasim Al-Naimi, and Assistant Professor Dr. Khaled Ghanem, organized a scientific visit to Al-Hayat International Hospital on Monday, May 5, 2025, with the participation of a group of first-year students.
The delegation was received by a select group of medical and administrative staff at the hospital. The students and professors toured all the specialized departments, viewed the latest medical equipment and advanced laboratories, and learned about the system adopted for dealing with patients in accordance with the latest medical standards.
