At the Faculty Council… A Joint Meeting Strengthens Partnership with the Nineveh Health Department The Faculty of Medicine Council at the University of Nineveh hosted a joint faculty council meeting with a high-level delegation from the Nineveh Health Department, attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Assistant Professor Dr. Mu’min Junaid Al-Dabouni, the Dean’s deputies, and members of the Faculty Council. The delegation from the Nineveh Health Department included: Consultant Surgeon Dr. Mudar Saad al-Din al-Omari – Director of Al-Salam Teaching Hospital Consultant Surgeon Dr. Walid Muhammad Bashir – Director of the Training and Human Development Center Dr. Nashwan Ahmed Fadel – Director of the Planning Department Dr. Abdulrahman Nashwan Al-Hafiz – Representative of the Faculty of Medicine graduates / University of Nineveh During the meeting, ways to strengthen mutual cooperation between the two sides were discussed, with the aim of contributing to the development of the educational process and clinical training, and enhancing the competence of graduates to meet the needs of healthcare institutions. The meeting also addressed mechanisms to support training and qualification programs and to strengthen the integration between academic and practical aspects, thereby achieving shared goals in serving the health sector. This meeting comes as part of the Faculty of Medicine’s commitment to building effective and sustainable partnerships with the Nineveh Health Directorate, which will positively impact the quality of medical education and health services in the province.
