As part of its ongoing efforts to support students and develop their skills, the University Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Medicine, University of Nineveh, held a training course titled “Career Counseling for Medical Students – Choose Your Medical Specialization Consciously,” which lasted for two days, Wednesday and Thursday, April 29–30, 2026. The course aimed to provide students and graduates with the necessary guidance and information to help them make informed and well-considered decisions when choosing their future medical specialties. It covered several topics, including an introduction to various medical specialties, criteria for choosing between them, and how to align the choice with the student’s personal interests and academic abilities. As part of the effort to promote the unit’s activities and services, informational brochures were distributed to students in the college hallways, containing details about the session and the importance of career counseling in supporting students and graduates and helping them chart their future paths.
