Dr. Fares Mahmoud Ahmed Al-Hamdani, a faculty member at the College of Medicine—University of Nineveh, participated in the International Conference on Nonlinear Physics in Renewable Energy Systems (ICNPRES-26)

held in London, the capital of the United Kingdom, on August 13–14, 2026, via the Zoom platform. He presented a joint research paper in collaboration with Assistant Professor Dr. Mi’ad Salem Younis of the University of Mosul, titled:
“Influence of TiO₂ and SnO₂ Nanoparticle Thin Films Deposited by Pulsed Laser Deposition on Organic Solar Cell Performance”
The research examined the effect of thin films of TiO₂ and SnO₂ nanoparticles deposited using pulsed laser deposition (PLD) on improving the performance of organic solar cells.
This participation is part of the University of Nineveh and the College of Medicine’s efforts to support scientific research, encourage their faculty to participate in international scientific forums, and strengthen academic cooperation and the exchange of expertise with researchers from around the world, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 9 on industry, innovation, and infrastructure.
