As part of community service activities and to strengthen cooperation between academic institutions, and in coordination between the College of Medicine at the University of Nineveh and the College of Medicine at the University of Tikrit, a field visit was conducted to the General Company for Electricity Distribution in the North. A team of faculty members from the Department of Internal Medicine and the Department of Medical Physiology at the College of Medicine, University of Nineveh, participated in this initiative, along with the instructor of the Department of Anatomy at the College of Medicine, University of Tikrit, Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Ibrahim Al-Azzawi. The visit included an educational lecture on diabetes, covering its causes, complications, and prevention methods, as well as conducting blood sugar tests for company employees and providing direct medical consultations aimed at promoting health awareness and safeguarding their well-being. The visiting team was received by the company’s General Manager, Engineer Zidan Khalaf Khader, who praised this initiative and commended the efforts made in serving the community. He issued a letter of thanks and appreciation to the participating faculty members in recognition of the outstanding health and awareness services they provided.
