Dr. Taqi Muayad Bakr Al-Sawaf, a faculty member at the College of Medicine, University of Nineveh, served as a member of the committee reviewing a master’s thesis in the Department of Life Sciences, College of Sciences, University of Mosul, titled: “The Prevalence of Virulence Genes Among Major Pathogenic Bacteria Associated with Ventilator-Associated Infections” The thesis examined the bacteria causing ventilator-associated infections, their diagnosis, and their antibiotic resistance and certain virulence factors. At the conclusion of the defense, the Dean of the College of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hayam Adel Ibrahim, presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Taqi Muayad Bakr Al-Sawaf in recognition of her scholarly contribution as a member of the defense committee. This participation reaffirms the scientific standing of the faculty members at the College of Medicine—University of Nineveh and strengthens academic cooperation among Iraqi universities.
