In an example that reflects the value of constructive critical reading and support for young minds, Mustafa Salem, a sixth-year student in the College of Medicine at the University of Nineveh, identified a scientific error in a surgical textbook regarding the fourth part of the duodenum. After contacting the international publisher Taylor & Francis, the observation was reviewed by the book’s author, who confirmed its accuracy, and the publisher stated that the text will be corrected in future editions.
