Assistant Professor Dr. Mumin Junaid Al-Dabouni, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Nineveh, participated in the expanded meeting of the Board of Directors of the Nineveh Health Department, which was chaired by pharmacist Dalshad Ali Abdullah Shankali, Director General of the Department. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Director General for Technical Affairs, the deans of the Mosul and Nineveh Colleges of Medicine, the presidents of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Associations, the director of the Arab Center for Medical Specialties, and the spokesperson for the Nineveh Health Department, along with directors of departments, hospitals, and health sectors. The meeting featured a comprehensive review of the Nineveh Health Department’s most significant achievements during the past period, highlighting the level of health services and the challenges facing the health sector in the province. The attendees also discussed a number of key issues related to improving medical and administrative performance and enhancing the quality of health services, as well as exploring mechanisms to improve the health situation to meet the needs of citizens. At the conclusion of the meeting, the importance of establishing an integrated health policy for Nineveh Governorate was emphasized, based on well-thought-out plans and a forward-looking vision aimed at enhancing the efficiency of health institutions and providing the best medical services. The Dean of the College of Medicine’s participation in this meeting underscores the college’s role in supporting the health sector and strengthening integration between academic and health institutions in the province.
