As part of the series of scientific activities organized by the Department of Medical Physiology, with direct support from the Dean’s Office of the College of Medicine, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Momen Junaid Al-Dabouni, Dean of the College, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Qasim Saleh Al-Naimi, Head of the Department

Faculty members from the Medical Physics Division organized an advanced hands-on lecture on the DEXA scanner used for bone density testing, with the participation of a select group of outstanding medical students. This lecture provided students with the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the technical principles of the device and its clinical applications, thereby enhancing their practical understanding of theoretical concepts.

This event is part of the department’s efforts to strengthen the integration of theoretical and practical aspects and to enhance students’ academic and practical skills, in line with recent developments in the medical field and to help prepare qualified medical professionals capable of meeting the demands of clinical practice.
