Among the achievements of the past 25 years… an innovation born out of a genuine medical need. As part of our retrospective on the silver jubilee of the College of Medicine at the University of Nineveh, we highlight a patent co-authored by Assistant Professor Dr. Mu’min Junaid Salem, Dean of the College of Medicine and Consultant Urologist, as part of a joint research team, titled: “Design and Manufacture of a Urine Flow Meter” A medical innovation designed to improve the accuracy of urine flow measurement in patients and enhance the efficiency of clinical diagnosis, thereby serving medical and research applications in the field of urological diseases. The innovation was granted a patent by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, adding to the record of scientific and innovative achievements made by the Faculty of Medicine throughout its history. On our silver jubilee, we are not only looking back on the years… but also on the ideas and achievements that have shaped the history of medicine in Nineveh.
